Singing Lessons

The vocal cords consist of two bands of elastic muscle tissue.

They are located side by side in the voice box (larynx) just above the windpipe (trachea). Like other muscles in the body, vocal cords can be strained and damaged.

It’s easy to believe that singing simply requires getting in front of a microphone and knowing the words.

However, the voice is the only instrument where the player of the instrument also produces the sound of the instrument.

Learning to sing is not only learning to play an instrument, it’s also learning how to keep your vocal chords fit and healthy. For that, you want to be in the best hands.

We can teach you not only how to perform with your voice, but also how to look after your voice. That’s why we call it vocal coaching and not vocal instruction.

Our vocal coach has over 35 years of experience singing professionally, as well as experience teaching, based on the Italian Bel Canto method of singing.

King Konz School of Music will guide you, and help to build a strong foundation as you continue to develop and strengthen your voice and performance abilities.

You are the music makers of today, and we are here to guide you every step of the way.

What to Expect

In your first lesson your teacher will ask

  • What are your goals?
  • Your favourite music?
  • What songs you would like to learn?

Your teacher will tailor a program to suit your needs to your ability. Please see our FAQ’s on what your child will need.

“Life’s better when you play!”
