Teaches: Bass Guitar | Guitar | Piano | Singing | Ukulele

Hi, my name is Cohan. I've been immersed in music since I was 8, starting with piano, where I completed my Grade 1 and 4 AMEB exams. I then transitioned to classical guitar, completing my Grade 5, 6, and 8 AMEB exams, while also performing with the Townsville Guitar Orchestra. I began singing at 11, venturing into busking and performing with guitar and vocals. Currently, I'm pursuing a Bachelor of Education (Secondary), majoring in Physical Education and Music, in my first year at James Cook University.

I started teaching at King Konz School of Music in 2023 and instantly fell in love with teaching. Growing up, I was always surrounded by music, especially influenced by my two older siblings who were extensively involved in piano. I teach Guitar, Piano, Vocals, and Ukulele. My musical tastes are diverse, with a particular love for Pop, Indie, and Taylor Swift – she's everything to me. However, I have a broad appreciation for all music genres. I'm also a passionate Musical Theatre enthusiast, actively participating in the Townsville scene. I've performed in high school productions and, most recently, in "Singin' In The Rain" with The Townsville Choral Society.

In recent years, I've started writing my own music, focusing on expressing my feelings through song. I enjoy exploring my emotions in my writing, but I also take a step back to observe and reflect on the issues faced by friends, family, and society, incorporating these themes into my music. I'm excited about teaching a wide variety of students and exploring all forms of music with them.
